COVID-19 Update

A message to our customers and the healthcare community,

from Nima Ziraknejad, Ph.D., P.Eng., Founder and CEO of NZ Technologies Inc.

First and foremost, I would like to convey that our thoughts are with all the frontline workers, clinicians, and essential service providers (and their families) actively working to protect and support our society through the COVID-19 pandemic. I have been in touch with our close network of physician advisors and can truly understand the hardship being faced by these crucial persons in our community.

As we work together to prepare ourselves for the impact of the pandemic and the ‘new normal’, please be assured that the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners are our top priority. While we are following the guidance of Canadian public health authorities and monitoring the evolving status on a daily basis, we remain committed to delivering our products and services without interruption. In addition to implementing strict workplace protocols that prevent the spread of the virus, we have put in new measures to optimize our current productivity and to expand our tech support capabilities to our existing customers in hospitals (via the NZTech hotline 1-833-MY-TIPSO). Ensuring that our customers and partners can continue to serve the healthcare community and care for patients without interruption is of paramount importance.

We also remain committed to doing what we do best – innovating new technologies to contribute to improving healthcare and saving lives. While our touchless interface technology was initially designed for the operating room, we now envision new applications outside the OR and in many public places with high touch interfaces – known to be common sources of disease transmission. Imagine never having to physically touch another elevator button or punch in a code on a keypad! To this end, we have accelerated our development efforts toward designing and setting a new standard for public-facing user interfaces – focused on the prevention of infection transmission and flattening of the curve. We are devoting the best of our capabilities to combat COVID-19 in the best way that we can – by innovating for better care.
