NZ Technologies and Providence Health Care Ventures have been awarded $350,000 through British Columbia’s Integrated Marketplace Health Testbed to test HoverCore™ in live hospital environments.
HoverCore™ is our AI-powered human machine interface platform. In this project it will allow clinicians, patients and staff to control digital screens and shared systems throughout the hospital using hand motions, without touching the surface. The testbed will evaluate improved access to clinical data in sensitive environments, reduced contact with high-touch surfaces, faster completion of routine tasks, and better access for people with physical limitations.
The award is part of more than $5.3 million announced by the Province and Pacific Economic Development Canada to test health and life sciences technology in real-world care settings. The Integrated Marketplace is delivered by Innovate BC and supports the Province’s Look West strategy for growing the technology and life sciences sectors.
Our founder and CEO Nima Ziraknejad noted in the announcement that hospitals are complex shared environments where access to clinical data and exposure risk from high-touch surfaces remain ongoing challenges, and that NZ Technologies is building AI-driven interfaces to help clinicians, patients and staff navigate digital information and shared systems more safely and efficiently.
