Innovate BC has selected HoverCore™ for the Integrated Marketplace Health Testbed, pairing NZ Technologies with Providence Health Care Ventures to validate the platform in real clinical settings.
The Integrated Marketplace was created by the Government of British Columbia in partnership with Pacific Economic Development Canada in 2023, and is delivered by Innovate BC. It is a demand-driven platform: rather than funding research in isolation, it matches B.C. companies with health-care partners who have a real operational need, so technology is proven in the environment where it will actually be used.
That distinction matters for a human machine interface. HoverCore™ can be characterised on a bench, but questions about sterility, workflow speed, accessibility and how staff behave around a shared screen are only answerable in a working hospital. The testbed exists to answer them.
Our project is one of several announced under the Health Testbed on 13 May 2026, spanning AI-assisted drug discovery, digital pathology, autonomous hospital transport and drone delivery of medical supplies.
